Back to the Future: Week 11 Cash Game Lineup Review

Those who don’t know the past are doomed to repeat it. One of the best ways to improve is to analyze what you’ve done previously. Large field tournaments that pay out a million dollars are quite sexy but the smart play for most DFS players are cash games (H2H’s, 50-50’s, Double Up’s). Cash games are the best way to build up your bankroll. Below is a look back at my cash game lineup from Week 11 in order to be better in Week 12. An accurate analysis can provide a foundation for future winnings.

This was a very interesting week as there were no 9K Running Backs and no 8K Wide Receivers. There were not a lot of clear cut studs in prime spots on the main slate. This lineup construction was tough because I was looking to go against my normal M.O. of paying down at TE and QB. This put me into unchartered waters with my cash lineup.

I scored nearly 159 points and won 91% of my head-to-heads. I also cashed in 78% of my GPPs (though i only played in nine $3 contests this week as I spent most of my allotted money to H2Hs).

Back to the Future: Week 10 Cash Lineup Review

I took a few weeks off as I was traveling and couldn’t devote to as much volume as normal. This week was an interesting one because the scoring was so low. It is a good reminder that even though 140-150 is your target from a value projection standpoint, the goal (as Adam Levitan says) is to beat your opponents. I encourage you to read Adam’s cash game review. He is one of the best in the business at breaking things down.

For week 10, I scored 128.8 DK points and won 82% of my cash games.

Fantasy Star to Follow: Al Zeidenfeld

Al Zeidenfeld (“Al_Smizzle”) is one of the top DFS guys and plays at the nose-bleed stakes.   I trust him as much as any expert out there and it is not just because he was a former college basketball coach.  When Zeidenfeld has a take, it is usually backed up with solid logic that seems to produce winners more often than not.  If you are not familiar with him, Rotogrinders did a good interview with him last year and you can find it clicking here.  In 2016, he won the Draftkings Milly Maker during Week 2.  I highly suggest following him on one (or all) of the following platforms . . . Trust the Process: NFL Week 17 Fantasy Preview

Where’s the NFL season gone?  Sadly, it is Week 17 which means teams are resting starters for the playoffs and other teams are trying out players for the future.  All 32 teams will be in action on Sunday for a full 16-game slate.  What follows are some thoughts to help you make the best decision for your fantasy rosters this week.  I play a balance of Head-to-Heads and Guaranteed Prize Pool Tourneys on DraftKings.  I have a lot of fun doing it.  Good luck to you this weekend.
