Back to the Future: Week 11 Cash Game Lineup Review

Those who don’t know the past are doomed to repeat it. One of the best ways to improve is to analyze what you’ve done previously. Large field tournaments that pay out a million dollars are quite sexy but the smart play for most DFS players are cash games (H2H’s, 50-50’s, Double Up’s). Cash games are the best way to build up your bankroll. Below is a look back at my cash game lineup from Week 11 in order to be better in Week 12. An accurate analysis can provide a foundation for future winnings.

This was a very interesting week as there were no 9K Running Backs and no 8K Wide Receivers. There were not a lot of clear cut studs in prime spots on the main slate. This lineup construction was tough because I was looking to go against my normal M.O. of paying down at TE and QB. This put me into unchartered waters with my cash lineup.

I scored nearly 159 points and won 91% of my head-to-heads. I also cashed in 78% of my GPPs (though i only played in nine $3 contests this week as I spent most of my allotted money to H2Hs).

Back to the Future: Week 10 Cash Lineup Review

I took a few weeks off as I was traveling and couldn’t devote to as much volume as normal. This week was an interesting one because the scoring was so low. It is a good reminder that even though 140-150 is your target from a value projection standpoint, the goal (as Adam Levitan says) is to beat your opponents. I encourage you to read Adam’s cash game review. He is one of the best in the business at breaking things down.

For week 10, I scored 128.8 DK points and won 82% of my cash games.

FanDuel NBA Value Plays: Wednesday (11/15)

There are 11 games on FanDuel’s main slate this evening. Even though there are no games that are anticipated to be scoring fests, there are also none expected to be stinkers. All 11 games have a Vegas total between 205.0 and 219.5. The Philadelphia-Los Angeles Lakers game has a 219 total and the Cleveland-Charlotte game has a 219 total. Two teams are on back-to-backs with San Antonio and Toronto coming off of wins last night.

With so many teams in action tonight, it makes sense that there is lots of star power to choose from when starting your lineups. There are 13 players priced at 9K and above, including Giannis Antetokounmpo, DeMarcus Cousins, LeBron JamesAnthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook.

If you don’t want to invest much money tonight, then FanDuel is offering a free entry into a contest with a $2,000 prize pool. This contest is presented by Knightfall and the History Channel. Give that a shot and maybe make a few bucks.
